There are many facets to a Career Transition Center career pursuit program. The client chooses what aspects of the covered services
the client wishes to utilize and to what extent. The client, with the guidance and coaching of the professional career counselor,
chooses the shape and scope of their own career pursuit campaign. Overall the main points of the program include:
Contacts Through High Technology
Using data from five databases, CTC provides updated information on companies of every size and configuration
from which the client may select target industries and specific companies of interest, including advice and information on growth
companies and companies undergoing reorganization.
Preparation of Written Materials
Staff career specialists tailor the client’s marketing tools including resumes, cover, introduction
and thank you letters, to provide a competitive edge during the career pursuit effort.
Career Situation Analysis, Evaluation of Key Information, Marketing Research
A staff of career specialists assess the client’s income
potential and marketability as it relates to specific industries and various positions; personal image, assessment of how to
address difficult interview questions and a comprehensive review of individualized interviewing.
Interview and Negotiation Strategies
CTC develops a unique interviewing strategy for each client, designed to enhance those special
qualifications and skill sets that enable the client to highlight attributes which prospective employers value. CTC career specialists
skilled in structuring counter-offers consistently negotiate additional income and benefits exclusively for our clientele.
The Executive Briefing
The Executive Briefing is the initial one-on-one counseling session between the new client and the assigned
professional career counselor, usually taking approximately 4 hours. It is the introduction to the services provided by CTC and includes
a review of the client’s background, experience, education, goals and CTC’s services. The program steps, a general time-line and a
brief discussion of the seven career pursuit-related seminars are also covered.
Weekly Career Pursuit Seminars
Weekly seminars are conducted on seven career pursuit-related topics, designed to inform, train, role-play and energize each client’s individual campaign effort.
